Overview: Blokada doesn't block ads

This is an overview of different reasons why Blokada might not block ads. I installed Blokada from Google Play Store. I just installed Blokada, it’s not blocking ads. Ads in specific apps: Youtube Social networks and their apps Chrome one specific app, not named above. Blokada blocked ads but not at the moment.

It will lead you to hints like ‘try to clear the Cache of the apps you see ads in’. Please try this for solitaire app.

You are able to select different Host lists in Blokada in the menu Ad blocking / Host lists (for Android), or Advanced Features (for iOS). Some of them serve a very specific purpose (like blocking tracking from social networks or cryptomining) some are meant for a more general usage. Some general advice on how to select Host lists: Start with the default list (Energized Blu). If it’s blocking too much, go for smaller lists (Energized Spark). Please also check your system settings for ‘private DNS’ and switch it to ‘off’ (not automatic but off).
