Blokada 5.13 for Android

This release introduces a new blocklist that we discussed on the forum: 1Hosts.

We also fixed a problem detected while this version was in beta, that would cause battery drain on some IPv6 networks. This could occur on older versions of the app too, and now is fixed.

As usual we updated the blocklists, and translations. We also made some minor bugfixes. More in the changelog.

Blokada 5.13 for iOS

EDIT: The iOS release is on hold because of technical reasons, and this update will likely have to wait another week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This release introduces two new blocklists to make it with sync with the Android version. One is 1Hosts, and another URLHaus.

The iOS 14.5 update has brought us some problems that you may have experienced. To learn more about it and the current situation, please read this announcement.

Keep the feedback coming, and enjoy using Blokada!

Just wanted to let everyone know, that a known issue has been discovered in Blokada 5 when it comes to wildcards.

If you select a list that has wildcards, do NOT select other list at the same time, that has no wildcards. In other words, do not mix them up, or your adblocking will not be correct and much more ads may slip through.

It is safe to mix up lists that all have no wildcards, they will be correctly loaded.

This is going to be fixed in 5.14.
