Introducing URLhaus blocklist

Starting with Blokada 5 v5.12, and Blokada 4 v4.12, a new blocklist is available in Blokada: URLhaus.

What is it?

This list is based on a database of known domains used for distributing malware.

How to use it?

In order to activate it on Android (Blokada 5):

  • Open “Advanced” tab
  • Tap “Blocklists”, then “All”
  • Find “URLhaus” , and activate it

In order to activate it on Android (Blokada 4):

  • Open the bottom menu
  • Navigate to Adblocking → Host Lists
  • Find “URLhaus”, and activate it

In order to activate it on iOS:

  • Open “Advanced” tab, then “All”
  • Find “URLhaus”, and activate it

Can I use two block lists? (Ad and malware) or can I use all lists? Will that be a problem? (Interference).

You can use multiple lists. They duplicated entries will simply be ignored.
