I’m still continuing to promote and install Blokada 5 app, to people and friends that need a free solution with the ads on their smartphones (Android 12 - 15), but some of them are new with the adblocking section and (some with android also ) since Blokada 5 have stoped getting updates for some time now, I need to know if the app it’s still somehow getting the updates of the blocklists that uses or not.
As you understand it’s important to know cause some are complaining that it doesn’t perform as expected with the ads and I can’t know if they have just mesed up something in the settings of their app or phones or is it simply due to the app’s old adblocking lists.

blocklists in Blokada 5 are the same as in the latest version of our app, Blokada 6, and we update them regularly. You could test other available blocklists and of course manually add addresses to block.
Blokada 5 and 6 blocklist both get blocklist updatess. Supports free basic blocking.
Blokada 6 is the current complete application. Subscription adds activation with Cloud advanced feature with VPN.
Funds for premium features support infrastructure, cloud server hosting and so forth. Many of the “staff” are volunteers. .org domains by definition are non Profit.

Yes, Blokada 5 is a completed project and will not be developed further, but it will remain free to download and use and still have up to date blocklists.
Improvements and new features will only appear in Blokada 6.
The way Blokada 5 blocks ads is not liked by Google, and they do not allow it to be available on the Play Store.
