Newpipe shows a “Content Unavailable” error
Since when are you facing this issue? Since the latest update to 25.1.51
Did you already try to solve the issue somehow?
Yes, this has happened before with the dallas location option. I changed to Denver and the problem was resolved. However it throws many of my other apps into chaos because they are now suddenly being accessed from a new location. Why does this happen and why is it lasting this long? Usually the issue resolves itself in a day or two.
If so: please state what you did.
I changed to another location, but this is not an actual good, long-term solution as it emulates suspicious behavior because I’m suddenly in new location.
This update is great and Ive given it 5 stars, but as usual there some roadbumps that accompany it. Like I’ve mentioned this is lasting a longer than it usually does and has prompted this contact.

you are right, I checked on my phone and there are issues with the app when connected to Dallas. I will let the team know and try to get back to you with more information as soon as I know more.
I don’t have good news for you. We plan to introduce the ability to manually bypass the VPN tunnel for selected apps, but it will take us some time to implement this feature. For now, you will need to work around it by either:
using the wireguard app (download config from app.blokada.org), which does have a bypass feature.
That’s definitely bad news. Not sure if some asset in stockholm is actively being blocked, or what, but I will do as suggested. Tunnel bypass for apps will be a “re-implementation” as this was a feature that was a part of Blokada long ago. Never understood why it was removed. Maybe to keep us secure in spite of ourselves, but I’m glad to hear that this functionality will be returning, for those of us who do not (at least not yet) have access to, or own a PC, or laptop. I do thank you for your assistance and support. Love the app. I do miss the green on black kinda sonar theme though. It would be great if this, or other themes became available some time in the far flung future…(and I finally have a laptop).
It seems that certain VPN endpoints, like Dallas, are being blocked or flagged, leading to the “Content Unavailable” error. Switching to a different location, such as Denver, resolves the problem temporarily, but it’s frustrating to have to constantly change locations.
This has been a recurring issue, and it’s disappointing that it hasn’t been addressed yet. It would be great if there were more stable and reliable VPN endpoints to prevent such disruptions.
Hopefully, the team can look into this and provide a more permanent solution.
