Confused about what it is that Blokada does

Blokada pro, v. 5.7. Enabled the energized basic blacklist.

  1. When I look at the Blokada dashboard, I see some “things” - not sure what to call them – have a red shield, and some green. My assumption is that the green shield things are things that my device allowed out. Is that because they are not on the energized basic blacklist?

  2. Does Blokada block only things that originate from apps loaded on my device? What I mean is, If I navigate to a web site using the browser, could that obtain information from my device, and would Blokada block that?

  3. When I look at the Blokada dashboard, I see several items with green shields. But, I don’t know what to do with that information. How do I find out which app is responsible for which green shield item so I can at least investigate a less intrusive alternative app?
