Blokada is not working on the June's Journey game

I use the latest update to Blokada on my Samsung Android. In the last two days, Blokada has stopped working on my June’s Journey game. All ads play now. The main reason I downloaded Blokada was for it to block ads on that game because they take away from the joy of playing. Are you going to fix it or should I just take Blokada off my phone? Thank you for any answer.

I am also here looking for help with blocking ads on JJ. I have tried doing everything I know to try but it hasn’t helped. I think wooga just found a way to get passed blokada when using an android. Blokada is still working fine on my iPhone. I have already noticed my play time has decreased a lot now that I have to deal with ads again. Unfortunately.

I think if it was wooga finding a way around blokada, it wouldn’t work on any device. I too have been playing less bc it’s so annoying. Hopefully support will give us an answer here so we know where we stand. Meanwhile, I’ll be trying different ones see if any works. If I do, I’ll let u guys know and pls do the same. Thanks my fellow JJ players

Thank you, that would be great and I will certainly do the same. I woke up this morning to find that now my iPhone is affected by whatever this is that’s going on. The only difference is I don’t actually have ads but I have to watch the 35 second counter slowly tick down to zero. Every. Single. Time. Guess I spoke too soon about my iPhone blokada working fine. It seems like once you get used to bypassing ads it’s ten times worse when it’s no longer an option ;(

That’s exactly what’s doing now. We certainly got used to the immediate blocking for sure. So far, I’ve tried several and no luck. No reply from support yet I see…

Yeah, I think they know their app is basically useless now but don’t want to tell us that.

We simply prefer knowing what we’re talking about before we put anything half-baked out there
Our small team has never heard about “June’s Journey” before and we’re looking into this.
Please be patient. This is a community based project run mostly by volunteers

I’ve looked in our JJ groups see if anyone had posted anything about it but haven’t seen any. You guys keep an eye out in the groups you belong to maybe one of us has better luck. If we all try different ones we might hit the jackpot and find one that actually works and we help each other considering Blokada support is MIA. What do you think peeps?

I’m going to ask in some of the FB groups for JJ I’m in. If you do, stay away from those run by wooga…

June’s Journey has been out for 4 years. It’s run by Wooga.

Well, thanks for at least acknowledging you are aware and are working on it. If you need any information from us we’ll gladly help.

We truly hope you guys find a solution🤞

I have the exact same problem on my iPhone. Driving me potty!

Since my last comment here the ads stopped getting blocked on my iPhone as well. The group of people I play with are all having the same problem that just started this week. I made a separate post on here about all of this and someone with blokada has replied back to me. They asked a few questions for more details so I think they are trying to look into the situation for us. You can probably find that post and get notified if someone replies back with additional information or suggestions. I still feel like wooga has been trying to interrupt people’s ad-blocker’s because it affects the revenue and it was initially easier for them to do that with android devices but now they are interrupting most devices if not all. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my whole group of people have the same problem yet blokada has seemed to worked extremely well before this week.

Never mind. The guy I was chatting with replied back to me again and basically said there wasn’t anything they could do because blokada can’t block every single ad, he included a link to this thread and closed my thread. So I couldn’t even really back! Obviously every single ad can’t be blocked but when you go from never having an issue with one particular game to all of a sudden ads are NEVER blocked, there’s a glitch somewhere. He could have at least just said it’s being looked into! I have been using blokada for over a year just to play this one game and I never have a problem like this so I’m not buying his whole explanation of sometimes blokada can’t block every single ad, case closed. He basically disregarded everything I said in my very detailed response back to his questions.

I’ll quote myself here

We normally don’t look into specific apps to see how it works internally, this would consume a lot of time and resources. Blokada uses general blocklists from 3rd parties to cover the majority of ads and trackers across multiple apps and websites.

However given the magnitude of the number of users who reported this issue I’ve “played” this game a couple of minutes for two days now, to see if there’s any obvious bugs in Blokada or if there’s nothing we can do about it. Nobody in our team has played this game before.

So far I have yet to see any ads show up in this game at all, even when Blokada isn’t even installed
