Had the same issue. Changing to another DNS worked, everything is running fine again
I have also had problems with connectivity. However, there is clearly a difference depending on the Android version you are on. On my Android 10 phone changing DNS to Cloudfare helped. Howvere, on my Android 7 tablet there is nothing I can do to connect to internet when Blokada 5.9.0 is on. For the moment I am back with Blokada 4 on the older device, which works fine.
Downgrade to 5.6 and disable updates in F-Droid until there’s a fix available.
Thanks. This solved the issue.
I had the same problem regardless of DNS server, but disabling DNS encryption had everything start working right away.
Same issue here, however in a earlier version, 5.8.0.
At first it wasn’t clear to me Blokada was causing this, as only some apps have partly issues. E.g. a news app that did show the text but not most of its pictures, while another news app worked perfectly.
About 4 weeks ago I had a similar problem. Since it was reproducible on multiple devices I could identify Blokada 5 as the culprit.
Blokada 5 seems less stable. I switched back to Blokada 4 and that version works flawlessly.
Now you mention the issue with images not showing up, I noticed that in emails.
Changing DNS to Google DNS worked for me. Seems the issue is in Blokada DNS
Downgrade app to 4
I just upgraded to version 5.10, and things seem to be working, but I also had switched over to cloud fare, so I’m not sure which one fixed the problem, but either way, I’m glad to have it working again
Pretty much the same thing here over the past few days. Will try cloud flare and if that doesn’t work rolling back from 5.9
Hey from Germany, Update: 5.10. seems to work as usual.
Please Disable Google Play Services Because Google Hate Blockada and Kingroot Purify. For Youtube Please Install Vanced Manager Youtube Vanced
I find newpipe is an excellent app for Youtube.
Just don’t sign up for a Google account when you get a new Android phone. You will still get Android security and Google updates via Playstore without logging into a Google account.
If you want Playstore apps just use Aurora Store v4 from GitHub.
I can confirm this issue. Very frustrating. Changing DNS to cloudflare seems to fix, lets hope that it holds.
