I downloaded and installed the latest Android update (05.09.2025) (see attached screenshot) this morning and since then have had my pixel 9 pro (stock) soft boot at least 10 times, even when not using it and just having it in my pocket. This is not ideal.
I can tell because every time it does this, it asks me for only my phones pin to unlock the phone and won’t unlock with my fingerprint.
The soft reboot takes roughly 5 seconds and might (!) be triggered by blokada because if i turn the the VPN on or off, or change the location, there’s a good chance for the sort reboot.
It’s also rebooted once while I was just browsing Reddit in Firefox, so I don’t know…
Wanted to report it here in order to see if maybe something could be done.
Hi, if this is not a problem for you, I would be grateful if you completely uninstall Blokada for a while and see if the problem goes away. Just remember to write down your account ID for easier recovery
So, in a way I am sad to say that after uninstalling the app, there have been no soft reboots since.
This is sad because I also, very unscientifically of me, installed the Google play August system update, which might have changed things as well.
As I am currently on a bike tour (and thus need my phone for travelling) I’ll reinstall blokada starting from Wednesday noon and will report back if this starts my soft reboots again.
