I looked at blokada/PackDataSource.kt at 5 · blokadaorg/blokada · GitHub and saw that all files are taken from mirrored address. Why does blokada use a mirror instead of the original address?
Historically we used to have a fair share of “surprises” when the upstream would go offline suddenly, making the adblocking stop working across all our users. This would result in a flood of ticket requests across all our communication channels. The mirror is just a dumb github repo updated periodically.

Thanks, that’s an interesting thought.
I think it would make more sense if only the original source is pulled and only loaded from the mirror when the original source runs into errors, so primarily original and secondarily the mirror is taken.
This would ensure an up to date list to the original and still have protection in case it is unavailable.
