[Feature Request] Local-Only Activity Logging Option

Dear Blokada Team,

I would like to propose an enhancement to the current activity logging system in the app. At present, when the Log Activity feature is disabled, users can only see the count of blocked ads and trackers, and the Activity tab displays a message indicating that logs need to be enabled to view activity. While this helps maintain privacy, it hinders troubleshooting efforts when the logging is disabled.

Currently, enabling Log Activity allows viewing logs both within the app and on the web, as these logs are stored in the cloud. However, this may not be suitable for users who wish to troubleshoot while ensuring their activity data remains on their local device only.

To address this, I am requesting the following enhancements:

  1. Local-Only Activity Logging: Introduce an option for local activity logging that stores logs only on the user’s device, without syncing to the cloud. This would provide users with the ability to review and troubleshoot their activity data without compromising on privacy.

  2. Cloud Logging Option: Retain or add an option for logging that enables cloud storage, allowing users to share logs across multiple devices connected to the same account and access them on the web if desired.

These additions would provide flexibility, allowing users to choose between full privacy with local logging and the convenience of cloud logging for broader access.

Thank you for considering these enhancements, which I believe would improve the overall troubleshooting experience while maintaining user privacy.
