Can ads be blocked on youtube?

Hi, I installed BLOKADA 4 on my Fire TV. It seems to be working. It shows “Active” and reports an “Ads Blocked” number. However, it does not appear to block any ads on youtube.

Yt ads are extremely difficult to block wthout killing the stream itself. I recommend you install and use NewPipe instead of the official yt app.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware of NewPipe. Interesting. I’ll check it out.

Also available is SmartTubeNext which is what I use on my fire tv. It’s still in development so may encounter errors from time to time but it usually gets fixed within a few days. It’s also designed to work on tv interfaces.
