Blokada doesn't block ads

1. Where did you download Blokada from?
   here
2. Which device do you use? Do you use a custom ROM? Do you know which OS version you are using?
   P30 Pro. No. Emui 10.1
3. Please explain the issue as detailed as possible. Also include patterns you observed (like ‘it only happens on wifi’). The more information the better.
   Installed blokada on my phone and it doesn’t block any ads on social media apps, and web browsers. It happens both on wifi and mobile internet.
   ** I am using the Adguard DNS, and for host energized blu.**
   The funny thing is it worked fine before I had to factory reset my phone yesterday, but now it doesn’t work.

Blokada for Android doesn't block ads in Chrome

Did you disable private DNS within your system settings?

Really, I remember the ads being filtered though in Instagram and Twitter
Does Blokada block game ads?
I tried pornhub still get the continue to video pop-up on pornhub(both browser and app)
Also when using the xvideos app, I get “Network error, please try again”, when Blokada is turned on.
And yes, I did disable private DNS.

Does Blokada block game ads?

As long as they don’t provide both the ads and it’s online capabilities thru the same domain then yes, it should work in most.

As for Pornhub & xvideos, once you visit them go to Blokada’s Host Log and allow or block the domains you canot connect to or the ones you suspect are providing you with ads.

You could also bypass the xvideos app if you still cannot conect.

One detail… more recent versions of Chrome for Android (later than 84’s) no longer include the flag for asynchronous DNS. There no longer is any way to disable that setting…
