Blokada 6 Plus on Android doesn't work when Always on VPN is enabled

Hello All,

I’m trying to use Blokada 6 Plus VPN on my POCO X3 Pro running MIUI 14.0.1.0.TJUTRXM (stock firmware). When I open the app the VPN works however when I close the app the VPN closes. This happens when Always on VPN is turned off. When Always on VPN is turned on the following happens. I close the app then immediately the VPN turns off and a notification saying “Disconnected from Always on VPN: Change Network or VPN settings” appears. To (kind of) fix this temporarily I open the app, Enable VPN then close the app and immediately turn Always on VPN off and on again. But this gets frustrating after a while. Anyone willing to help me out?

Have you had this problem for a long time? Could you describe how you “close” an app? Do you simply tap the home button (or swipe up from the bottom of the screen) or delete the app from memory?

I’ve had the problem since I downloaded the app. I close the app by deleting it from memory.

Deleting our app from memory is the cause of your issue with VPN. Try not to do this and let me know if it improves your situation.

I have to keep the app on? İsn’t there a way for it to run in the background without being present in the most recent apps tab. Because I accidentally keep swiping left on the app in the recent apps tab.
