Blockada for iOS on Mac

Hi team.

I absolutely love Blokada for iOS - I used to use old school Blokada on android, and I’ve tried so many on iOS but it turns out that the cloud approach just works. Also love how changes don’t rely on dns to expire.

Would you consider allowing download on Mac, just the iOS version. This would allow us to have a quick, easy way to make adjustments on Mac, with no dev work.

It’s a simple quality of life thing, but it may also save you guys time on supporting and explaining profiles to people too.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi,
I’m not sure if I understand your message correctly, but if you want to use our service on macOS, you can log in with your ID here: https://app.blokada.org/
And then on the left side, go to Setup and select macOS, where you should see the setup instructions.

Thanks but not quite what I meant.

In App Store Connect, there is an option to allow download of an iOS app on apple silicon Mac’s.

If this were allowed, users could use the app on mac rather than relying on a profile.

Does this make more sense?

Ah, now I get it. Simply allowing download of our app on macOS would unfortunately not help, because the entire onboarding process is tailored specifically for mobile devices, so you would not be able to configure your device in this way.

However, I can say that we are planning to release a version made specifically for macOS sometime towards the end of this year :crossed_fingers:

Amazing.

Thanks for the update.
