5.3.0 doesnt run in background

To directly help you the best way possible please provide the following information:

  1. Where did you download Blokada from?
    Updated in app.
  2. Which device do you use? Do you use a custom ROM? Do you know which OS version you are using?
    Xiaomi Note 10 Lite. Official ROM. Android 10.
  3. Please explain the issue as detailed as possible. Also include patterns you observed (like ‘it only happens on wifi’). The more information the better.
    The app is terminated when i close the app, the version before this kept running. Ensured always on VPN is on but app is still terminated. Also the notification that states it’s running in background is gone as well. Going back to 5.2.1 untill this is fixed.
  4. Since when are you facing this issue?
    After updating to 5.3.0.
  5. Did you already try to solve the issue somehow? If so: please state what you did.
    Reinstalled, rebooted.

Did you disabled battery optimization for Blokada? Did you pin it to recents?

Disabling battery optimizations didnt help. Android 10 doesnt have pinning, or atleast the version im using. I dont think this has to do with settings. I can use 5.2.1 with battery optimizations turned on. Always on VPN should prevent that anyways right?

It’s not an android 10 thing but an MiUI setting. Give this a read.

Pinning works but i didnt have to do this with 5.2.1. Weird.
