Do i have to upgrade to use blokada?

I am on ios and it seems the new Blokada update has made it to wear the app is unusable unless i upgrade my “subscription”

It proceeds to say every time i try
To activate it that my free subscription ran out and i need to
Upgrade. Why does it keep doing this, and when are you guys going to
Fix this problem?
