I had purchased blokada to be shield for my data when I launch mobile apps and games and should not have to whitelist things to get them to work. I am not running any blocklists under the advanced settings and every gaming app that requires a connection is timing out. Only with the vpn turned off do most of the apps load. I am lkely going back to version 4 as the vpn would not break these apps. 1. Where did you **download** Blokada from? -I downloaded the APKs from [blokada.org](http://blokada.org) 2. Which **device** do you use? Do you use a **custom ROM**? Do you know which **OS version** you are using? -oneplus7tpro on android 3. Please explain the issue **as detailed as possible**. Also include patterns you observed (like ‘it only happens on wifi’). The more information the better. 4. Since when are you facing this issue? -since installing blokada 5 5. Did you already try to solve the issue somehow? If so: please state what you did. -issue not solved. ---

Hey there:) so Blokada offers three functions: changing DNS, blocking ads and a VPN service. Do I understand correctly that you are only interested in the VPN service, not in ad blocking or the possibility to change DNS? ---

With the Bloka app active and the VPN disabled, the youtube music will not play and times out. The google reader app also does not connect to the google library. The recent blocked items are www.googleadservice com, ad.doubleclick net, setttings.crashanalitycs com, reports.crashanalitics com, s.amazon-adsystem com etc. The recent allowed items www.googleapis com, android.googleapis com, mtalk.google com, youtubei.googleapis com, firebaseinstallations.googleapis com, s.youtube com @c_C I am already a subscriber to the vpn plus service. I was using v4 and I updated to v5.2 and am having problems with gettting apps to load properly. ---

I understood that you think that Blokada Plus is blocking the connection and that you want to only use the VPN service without the ad blocking functions, which seems to have been a misunderstanding from my side. - Which host lists did you select? - Which DNS do you use? - Did you enable ‘block all connections without VPN’? - Did you enable ‘allow ipv6’? ---

I would like the ad blocking tp be working with the VPN enabled. To get things to load I have to set the Blokada to Deactivated on the app dashboard. - Which host lists did you select? -None selected - Which DNS do you use? -Cloudflare [malware blocking] - Did you enable ‘block all connections without VPN’? -this is not selected - Did you enable ‘allow ipv6’? -yes ---

- Please check your system settings for ‘private DNS’ and set it to ‘off’. -device private dns is set to off - Please select Cloudflare [DoH] or Google [DoH] and test whether it works then. -changed DNS to Google [DoH] With those in place and the VPN enabled sites do not load and apps cannot connect. When I disable the vpn settings the apps are able to load. ---

Hum side note there are some features suggested there for possible future things… Some times I turn just the ads off for this exact thing, I find if I let… a certain hub cote load the first page and log.on, after that the ad blocking doesn’t effect.the navigation. Figuring so.e way to do custom automatic rules.would be cool but maybe just a floating toggle. Or “next” for DNS and gate ways. Ya know so when I want to feel like Iceman whe. He was trung to win that date with corrosion 😬 lots of tippet tap and 3D city representing file structure. S then I say so.e shit about NSA, dome at me the an http8 sock 9 I gotta junp to the next gate… 😐 Okay yeah ill go to bed 😒 ---

I have rolled back my lenovo tab running android v9 back to version blokada 4.8.2 build because of all the issues with v5.2. My oneplus7tpro is working fine with settings suggested by @c_C running android 10. ---
